Functional movement, in the context of exercise and training, should support the function of the individual.
Online coaching provides a partnership to support the client's ongoing development.
When these two pieces get combined there can be a great partnership formed...under the right circumstances!
If it's done correctly with the right client and the right coach, this scenario will allow the client to continue to train at their existing gym or in their garage. The technology that is available to coaches improves at a rapid rate. This advancement has allowed the coach to provide a valuable service to the client that eliminates proximity from the equation.
Elkhorn Valley Fitness, home of OPEX Omaha West, provides individually designed programs for each of client. The program matches exactly the function of the individual to support them on their journey.
Although we are located in the far west part of Omaha, our reach to clients is not limited to our physical location. We have clients that train in large commercial gyms within the Omaha metro as well as throughout the United States as well as internationally.
Having a professional coach as your partner eliminates a lot of the guesswork of designing a program that is effective for you. It also provides you with the assurance that your program is designed specifically for your current ability and lifestyle factors that make you UNIQUE.
Zach started training with us earlier this year and he is a member at the JCC in Omaha. After reviewing his video from FitBot (week #1), we asked Zach to train onsite the following week (week #2) to address some setup on his movement (deadlift).
During his onsite visit, his coach worked with him on a specific warmup to prepare him for his training session. The focus for the session was to recruit better movement patterns to improve his function and lift properly, safely, and more effectively.
After being onsite, his coach requested a follow-up video (week #3) to ensure that the movement pattern was improved and able to be duplicated without direct supervision.
Zach is a busy person that needed a partner to help him on his journey towards success. Balancing work and being a great husband and father requires a lot of his energy and time.
If your story is similar to Zach and you are interested in working with one of our professional coaches, complete a CONSULTATION form and we will call you to learn more about you. All of our coaches have completed or are in process of completing their OPEX Fitness Coaching Certification Program.
We will design a program that fits your lifestyle, time demands, and ultimately leads you to YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS!
