If you live in our state of Nebraska you probably didn't make it more than 10 minutes at work before hearing someone give their opinion on the Huskers loss on Saturday.
The success of any institution or business is directly related to the results that are produced. Factors that determine the outcome are varied depending on the type of organization.
In collegiate athletics, the major contributors are the coaching staff and the 18-21 year old student/athletes. Their performance during the 60 minutes on any given Saturday can either drive people to the stadium or have them throwing up their arms in disbelief.
In business organizations, the key components to success often include executives/management, employees, culture, products/services, and systems that deliver the goods to the consumer.
At Elkhorn Valley Fitness and OPEX Omaha West the key metric that we use for success is simple.
Are we delivering results for our clients?
From an outside view, all fitness businesses can claim they are getting their clients results. However, where the separation really occurs in our industry is in the long-game.
Gyms that provide high value to their clients while delivering long-term results will succeed....those that don't, won't be in business long.
When we meet with our clients we ask them to paint their picture of success for us. Once we have this picture, we can begin to create the best long-term solution for them.

FitBot is a great tool to track success and measure results. The testing that we do in the gym is controlled so we can collect valid data. Measures outside of the gym are often more important for our clients. This carries more weight for them because it validates if we are moving them closer to their definition of success.
Donn is a long-term client and this shows his golf game is getting better! We are excited for him to continue his journey to a single digit handicap in golf!
